When and where is the Durban Expo?
The Knowledge in Nature Expo 2026 Durban takes place on Saturday, 28th November (9:00 AM – 5:00 PM) and Sunday, 29th November 2026 (9:00 AM – 3:00 PM). It will be hosted at Hillcrest High School, 36 Shortlands Ave, Hillcrest, Durban.
Where can I buy tickets?
Tickets can be purchased online in advance via Quicket for fast-track entry, or at the door on the days of the event. At the entrance gate, we accept Cash, credit/debit cards, and SnapScan.
What are the ticket prices?
Tickets are R80 for Adults (18+), R50 for Children (4 and over), and free for kids under 4 years of age.
Can I bring my own reptiles or pets to the expo?
For veterinary safety, animal welfare, and biosecurity regulations, members of the public are strictly prohibited from bringing their own animals or pets into the expo hall.
Are visitors allowed to touch the animals?
For the health, stress-reduction, and well-being of the display animals, there is strictly no public touching of live animals allowed.
Will there be food and drinks at the venue?
Yes, there will be catering stalls, artisanal food trucks, hot coffee stations, and refreshing cold drinks available throughout both days of the expo.
How can I apply for a vendor or exhibitor booth?

Can I get compliance or permit advice at the Durban Expo?
Yes! Knowledge in Nature is the host of the expo. Our compliance specialists will be running a dedicated stand where you can ask questions regarding KwaZulu-Natal provincial permits, TOPS permits, CITES requirements, transport documentation, and captivity registers.
